Clyde Adams III
Director of Admissions and Enrollment
540-687-4344
Davidson College - B.S. University of Kentucky - M.Ed.
Clyde S. Adams, III, known to all as Trey, brings over twenty years of experience in independent schools to his role as Director of Admissions and Enrollment, much of which involved admissions and enrollment management. After graduating from Davidson College with a B.S. in Biology and Medical Humanities, Trey started teaching science, coaching lacrosse, and living on a dorm at Christ School, an Episcopal boys’ boarding school. Since then, his professional journey has included roles as summer programs director, admissions director, division head, assistant head of school/director of enrollment, and a brief stint as head of school. Trey has served in a variety of independent schools, primarily in the south, including Asheville School in Asheville, NC; The Lexington School in Lexington, KY; The Miami Valley School in Dayton, OH; St. Andrew's School in Savannah, GA; Trinity Academy in Raleigh, NC; and the Highlands School in Birmingham, AL. It was because of his position as Director of Enrollment in charge of high school placements at Highlands that Lexi Hill ’23 found her way to Foxcroft!
In all of these roles, enrollment management and building strong, sustainable school communities have been Trey’s calling, and Foxcroft is thrilled to have him share his experience and expertise on our leadership team. He holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from University of Kentucky and he has completed coursework in curriculum and instruction at Western North Carolina University. He has served on countless accreditation teams across the South East as well as participated or presented at numerous professional associations, including Enrollment Management Association’s Erdmann Institute, Secondary School Admission Testing Bureau, Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS), NAIS, and Round Square.
He and his wife Kelly, who is Director of the Clergy Support Ecosystem for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, have a five-year-old son, Cort, who hopes that the move to Foxcroft includes getting a dog!
Krystyna Martin
Associate Director of Admission for Access and Inclusion
Ms. Martin brings a unique combination of experience and skills that make her a wonderful match for this role. She is currently a College Counselor with Democracy Prep Charter Schools in Camden, NJ. In her work, she guides first-generation and low-income high school students in the college process, which includes partnering with support networks and families for success. Ms. Martin is no stranger to the transformative experience of all-girls education. Prior to her position at Democracy Prep, she was a Senior Admissions Counselor at Salem College, an all-women’s college and her alma mater. She traveled extensively for recruitment, cultivated relationships with access organizations, and developed a first-generation student orientation program among many other responsibilities. As a student at Salem College, she earned a B.A. in Sociology and a B.A. in Women’s Studies with an Advocacy concentration. Ms. Martin and her fiancé Dylan are excited to be moving to campus, and she is looking forward to building relationships with families and creating a strong culture and community.
RheaHyatt joined our team as Associate Director of Admissions in January 2023. Mr. Hyatt is no stranger to boarding schools, having attended and worked at The Webb School in Bell Buckle, TN, where from 2016-2022, he was an admissions counselor and then Assistant Director of Admissions. His responsibilities included student recruitment and travel, serving as a member of the admissions and financial aid committees, and coordinating the visit experience for prospective students. He also oversaw the student ambassador program. Mr. Hyatt lived in a dorm, was an academic advisor, and was an assistant coach for boys and girls lacrosse. Most recently, he worked as a Graduate Admissions Specialist at the University of Tennessee, where he reviewed applications and was the main point of contact for graduate admissions policy for students. He is eager to return to working closely with students and families in the admission process and is excited to be at Foxcroft.
